Anybody here used/has one? I like the idea of an induction saw to cut down on the noise, just how good are they on noise reduction ? Any suggestions would be of value as they are expensive machines.

Thanks in advance

I got the braked KGS303 (think thats the right no.) when my kids were wee so I could do skirting boards etc in the house when they were sleeping. Lovely and quiet. I could use it in the next room to where they were sleeping and not wake them up. I still have it after about 12 years continuous use it is still a good machine. I also love the brake on it as well. Still see them on ebay regularly and they go very cheap which I cant understand

Saw one on gumtree this morning and bought it almost as new with a KSU 400 sliding stand, again almost new. Initially he wanted £450 for the saw and £90 for the stand, did a deal at £450 for them both. Nice guy, he had it all set up for me to test.
Well pleased.

Thanks for your imput.

Hi David, just beware that it only bevels 22.5° to the right rather than the 45° you would expect. I only found this out to my frustration well after I had bought it and could not return it.
It is amazingly quiet, but a massive let down at the same time. It sits in my garage workshop not getting much use while I have the bigger brother which goes on site with me.

Cheers _Dan.

Hi Dan
Yes I did know about that, but thanks for the info. It will be living in the workshop on the stand, and yes it is quiet. I notice that the depth stop flexes slightly if you put to much downward pressure on the handle, something to watch when trenching.
Overall for the price I paid I think it will work for me.
