Hey All, its been a while. Always keeping up to date on the forum though

Anyhow, I need some help. I have a lot of air dried Red Oak in stick for 7/8 years and I have a deck to build at home in a very exposed area. I also have some decorative cladding to apply to some of the walls.

I want to use hardwood so would the oak be suitable?

My workshop is not ready yet but I have a bandsaw (a record BS500) and a tablesaw (Startrite with a 12" blade). Have I enough horse power to machine the deck boards.

All advise is welcome

Eoin

Oh my, I had a look around and it appears red oak is an absolute no, no. My eye was on the work load rather than the material.

Thanks Pete, easy answer to my question.
