Hi, I'm looking at a Kity 439 as my first thicknesser but I'm not sure what size chip extractor to look at. I don't have a lot of big stuff to extract from so it will be pretty much on the thicknesser all the time.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have a 439 and the outlet is oval, not beyond the whit of man to convert to 100mm, I found using my 2400watt Numatic was insufficient to extract from it effectively, the problem is the right angle corners just in front of the extract port, could be modified to work better, but I put a 2000m3/hr extractor on it and it takes all the debris away.

The Numatic according to the manufacturer is only good for 300m3/hr.

Your welcome, that's what Forums are for, I modified the oval outlet with a bit of 100dia plastic drain, heated with a paint stripping gun and forced it onto the original outlet and then fibreglassed it in place, works well if you keep the inside smooth.
