Hi,

I have a Hammer A-31 planer thicknesser and want to upgrade the chip/dust extraction from an old cheap SIP extractor that works reasonably well but doesn't extract all of the chippings. Does anyone have familiarity with Holzmann or Bernardo brands that can offer insight as to their performance/reliability etc.? It looks like Holzmann products are actually made in China even though their head office is in Germany. The models that I'm considering are the Holzmann ABS3880 (approx 600 EUR - I live in France, hence Euros not GBP) or the Bernardo DC 500E (730 EUR). They both actually look identical apart from their branding.

Alternatively, can anyone recommend any other suitable brands/products . I've looked at Felder models such as the AF14, which I'd consider even though they're more expensive but according to the stated figures have smaller CFM figures.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing special, just an asian import with a German sounding name to make you believe it is quality.

Take a look

The P/T produces a lot of waste and I find can easily block a small bin type extractor and if you have the space then look at something like the Record, not a lot of money but will be better than a bin type.
