How to achieve Top RPM on Union Gradute a Lathe?

Thanks,I have just noticed that there is only 3 Pully Wheels on the motor shaft,while on the Spindle Pullys there is 4 Pully Wheels,I can change speeds up to 1330 RPMs ,but,how can I move up to the highest RPM of 2250 ?because if I change to matching Pullys on both Spindle and Motor and lock the Motor ,the Pully Belt is too slack? Do I need to modify something for me to get Top Spindle Spees of 2250? All help appreciated.

Hmmm, mine has 4 pulleys top and bottom so you simply match the pulleys. The standard spec is 4 pulleys (see here http://www.woodturninglathes.co.uk/Headstock.html). Are you sure there's only three?
