Can someone please point me in the right direction, I recently bought a second hand Perform tool Mortice drill, unfortunately there was no chuck key, the drill head has 3/8 stamped on it but when I bought a multi tool with 4 sizes none worked. I have been told it has to be a jacobs I need. ?
Sorry totally new to this machine

Does the chuck have a number on it? Usually Jacobs chucks have their name stamped on. If you have the number search for it on ebay. There are plenty of suppliers. If in trouble consult Stuart on ebay, username stuartm2015. He's the Jacobs guru.

Give Axminster a ring they should know the size they might even have a replacement though I doubt it will be Jacobs.

Hi Brian it looks like B6 I have messaged Stuart, Thanks for the help

B6 (B16), is most likely the taper fit from mandrel to chuck body.
