No there are even more up in the air at any given time as not all planes have the transmitters that provide the data to this application. I agree. Scary as to how many planes are up in the air at any one time.

Thank God for Air Traffic Control!

At 07.30 this morning I went and had a look east of New York, there are a lot of Jumboes on the way.

I know it's sad but the marine one is fascinating!
I sat there for hours last night seeing what they all were, trying to find the 'mega containers'!
It's amazing how many diving support/ scientific ships there are at sea!

Can't comment on the Flight radar, but the Marine equivalent can be very inaccurate.
