OK building a half track. I am taking a break from turning for this build well that is what I thought until I started the build, it seems that I am still turning a fair bit as there are plenty of round things needed for it at the moment.
The picture is how far I have got at the moment with the chassis and also a start on the front wheels. The first two photo's are the chassis as of today with all of the bits glues in place and the third is one of the centres of the front wheels which I am working on this is 1 1/8"diameter and the finished wheels will be 3".

I will be starting the tracks when I receive some 2mm dowelling to join them,

C & C welcome on the progress so far

Funny you should be working on something with Tracks, was down in Dorset yesterday and had a very close up view of a cloud of dust in close support of a very noisy collection of steel and thought it would be a good project to built a model, mind you I was thinking more of suggesting it to another member of the family who has just constructed a 3D printer to do the fiddly bits.

I was stationed down there in Dorset and use to play with Tanks as a crew member. This build has 62 links to make so should keep me busy for a while as I will make them in batches of 10 at a time with the aid of some jigs as well as drilling 124 holes.
