I am looking at buying a hvlp sprayer and considering at a fuji 4stage hvlp one.

Has anyone got any thoughts and/or recommendations on the Fuji or any other hvlp sprayer system.

I will be spraying water based and gloss paints as well as varnish.

Cheers

i looked, briefly at a spraying system. this may be wide of the mark, but your username is aspiring woody, suggesting limited experience. do you have a decent sized dust free area for spraying? this is what stopped me buying because in my domestic based workshop, i didnt.

just a thought.

My setup is hobby woodworker not trade. I have a reasonable workshop i try to use when possible when im not in my day job! I can fairly easily put together a spray booth where required though isnt a hvlp setup less needy of this than a normal compressor and spraygun? I thought the hvlp would be more controllable and not overspray / bounce paint around like a normal compressor? Certainly if i was spraying some lacquer onto a cabinet i would do a spraybooth setup anyway.

Hi,

I have the Fuji 3 stage. I think it's vey good but quite noisy and a bit heavy with prolonged use. The end finish is good though.
