Anybody use a multilock on their stormproof windows like these?

How much gap should I allow between bottom of sash and top of cill rebate (top hung sash), 10mm looks about right but was thinking should be 11mm down the sides for friction hinges.
I know 1mm is not much to argue over but I have a few windows to make and just wondered if there are any industry standards for these things?
