Should I go for it!?

A well known Tool shop in Brizzle is having a VAT free day, they have it once a year and lay on plenty of demos and all the big players are usually there. It gets packed!!! If its not in stock, you pay on the day discount included and collect when in etc. Last year I bought about £800 worth of Makita 18v kit, still serving me well. Last week I picked up a TS55 and Midi... I love it!!! Sold my dewalt plunge to my brother. Work for myself now and I really look after my equipment, so don't mind spending the money, 36 years old so I justify it by the fact that I'll have for years...
Work in the garage and in the domestic environment, no site work. All my kit is 240v or cordless.

I thinking of getting the Domino, ROS 125...may be the Kapex too!!! Advice welcome.

WIP of single garage upgrade will soon be on here.

Unsure there website is not very comprehensive. It shows no Festool on there yet they have a huge range. Assuming they rely on local trade! 'Bell Tools'

James

Bell tools. They have a couple of shops and although they will all be vat free for two days, the Demo etc and players will be at the st Johns lane shop

James

Dominoes are great lots of people will agree with that.

Use mine for many jobs, just this week I used it to reinforce a few masons mitres on some kitchen worktops. It makes the usually fiddly bit of bolting them together nice and flush, so easy. Much more accurate than using biscuits.

When will the vat free days be?

It may well be worth a trip for those sort of savings!

19th & 20th

I'm hoping to pop down there tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll have a look and post prices...anything else???

Thanks mahomo!

I don't think there is anything else apart from the price they sell domino's for (the wooden dowels).

Cheers

Anyone care to share the name of this shop. I have never used a Domino, but am very tempted to try one out

Great bit of free advertising for Bell Tools there James!

To paraphrase the late, great Bill Maclaren "They'll be dancing in the streets of Brizzle tonight"

Just trying to spread the word so many more can benefit.

Ts55 2 rails £399 before vat
Dom 500. £549 before vat

Cheers. They seem reasonably competitively priced, so if they will do mail order I might splash out. I guess that they wont be genuinely VAT free, but the discount will be equivalent, so a business registered for VAT will actually get a double whammy.

I have been in touch will bell tools. They are happy to do mail order. If it is paid for on the 19/20 sept it will be "vat free". One ts55 is on my shopping list for 10 days time!

Nice one! I'm guessing it's a good price, I'm only just on the slippery slope so haven't been checking prices out too much. Definitely getting a Domino, although place where I got ts55 and midi are only £10 more expensive including VAT!!! Thinking of getting 125 sander too anyone recommend a particularly good model? Use - shaker style doors (mdf) carcasses, wooden work tops etc.

Cheers.

10 days can't come fast enough.
