Fabrex hand drill?

I recently bought a Fabrex hand drill off the bay for £8. The sole purpose was sentiment, as my dad gave me one as a child as part of my first tool kit, and it was stolen.

There is nothing much on Google about Fabrex, so I wondered if anyone here can tell me anything about the maker, history or whatever. This is purely to satisfy personal curiosity.

Fabrex Tools was a Record acquired budget or D.I.Y. Brand

I don't know if it's the same Fabrex though.

I've got one of those which I liberated from my Dad's shed when I left home. It is fantastic for countersinking and has saved many a task from delay when I've been let down by a flat battery.
