I have just had a fruitless journey to the Library to check a local address for a Christmas card.

'Oh we don't keep copies of the Electoral Roll any more - you will have to go to the council offices'

Since When???? Is this the norm nowadays? Libraries always used to keep copies for reference.

Thanks XY - Being a tight git, I rarely pay for such information.

As it happened, I drove past the road where I know my ex work colleague lives and spotted his car in the drive and got the address that way.

Had I have been an even smarter bunny, I could have put the Christmas card through his door - Ho Hum!

Sorted then Bob. Now if only I could remember which version of my address list on this infernal machine is current.
