First job is to strip it and do a repaint/rebuild so watch this space.

Second job is the chisel size, I believe this machine is set up with a 3/4" I haven't checked it yet. All my chisels are 13/16th's so I need another adaptor. Where do I get one from?

Axminster? I've got a morticer adapter from them before.

I've stripped it down cleaned it off, masked it up and here it is with one coat of primer sprayed on.

The lower base, the motor & the handle will be metallic dark blue, everything else will be metallic silver grey. :)

Here is the Sedgwick finished and in place. Painted with blue & silver metalic spray paint. Total cost £320 for the machine £27.96 for paint, Total £347.96p

Now there's the difference - for a trades type it would be a quick wipe down with an oily rag, check the adjustments, wire-up and start work....

Scrit

Every time I see those big wheels on mortisers I find myself looking round for the engine room telegraphs and the voice pipe to the bridge. #-o

Too smart for me - I'd be out with Scrit's oily rag and it'd be lucky to get that.

Cheers, Alf

But they don't use them any more Alf, they don't even use joysticks.
This is more like it these days.

'Zactly the sort of thing, yer lordship - only maybe more a battleship or cruiser than an LST... Not sure pushing buttons has quite the same feeling about it. :(
