Maybe - but I've a Hitachi with 1.5ah batteries that are perfectly adequate so I wouldn't envisage 2ah being a problem for most people. I don't use it for work, but it does get used from 100% to flat occasionally.
 
Yup...my post did seem a bit negative, unintentionally. I've had a couple of Dewalt 12v drill drivers now for donkeys years and they just sit on the bench and handle all manner of light duty jobs so (especially as there are 2) I'm sure they'll be good value at that price. Only snag I've found with the older batteries is a moderately lengthy charge time as I've been spoilt by my 18v Lith ion 22 minute charger.
 
Given the way my old 18v Dewalt behaves, brushless is the way to go. My machine regularly throws out sparks and glowing carbon particles from the commutator. Definitely not for use in any vaguely flammable environment.....
