Hi folks.
I've just been given a load of turning bits and bobs among which is a chuck I can't identify. The old boy I got the stuff from thought it was a SIP but after some internet trawling I've still no idea. The photo shows everything I got. The main chuck body with a reversible expansion block/screw chuck. No jaws hence the need for ID. Overall dia. is 90mm.
Would be grateful for any ideas. Thanks for looking.

Hi

Looks like a Record Power RP3000 chuck - not the easiest thing to use. Rather than look for the missing jaws etc. I'd suggest you invested in a scroll chuck.

Regards Mick

also marketed as a Robert Sorby or craft supplies precision combination chuck - at least thats whats mine is called. better than not having a chuck at all, although if thats all the bits youve got you can only really use it as a screw chuck
