When they had the foot and mouth up here most of the farmers did really well and one of them bought one of each type Kawasaki green tractors/combines etc around 15 of them from their compo and most of the others either retired to the sun or had £1m super barns built (the farmer who we bought our home off has 3 massive barns full of cows, they spend most of their time inside which is as bad as battery hens but no'one seems to care nowadays?) most of the hotels etc had to close because they banned all traffic here for months so no tourists could get here.......one poor sod was found hanging in our woodland thanks to losing his business and eventually wife.....he had his rare breeds cattle/pigs/goats etc destroyed and they were actually his pets (he used to take his gert big Tamworth to the paper shop for a walk lol)
The farmers here drive top of the range motors and get some lackeys to do the grafting.....BUT they still get paid £££££££££££££££££££££££££ by the EU and since Brexit vote they are complaining about having their EU grants stopped and are threatening to close the farms......greedy barstewards
