I saw some Bosch SDS bits on display in a shop in Coventry, on the packet was marked MADE IN CHINA. I'm sorry to see this development from a manufacturer who used to aim at the professional market with their drill bits.
Any one had any experience of these oriental versions?

You can't automatically assume that because something is made in China it is poor. I am sure Bosch have done their research with choosing a supplier for the bits as they do have a reputation to protect.

I know the Chinese can make good quality items, I doubt the prices will reflect the difference in source like Irwin's Quick Grips which are now made in China but maintained their American price levels.
Bosch like owning their supply chains so I believe it will be a Bosch owned factory like the Hawera one in Germany which invented and made their sds bits.
