Does anyone have Collins Complete Woodworker's Manual ? Ive not seen it myself but have have an oppurtunity to buy at a £20 discount. leaving cost aside whats the book like?
I'v got it and it good it covers all aspects of wood working the use of tools and hand and power, joints, veneering, bending wood, workshops it is well worth the money. List is £24.99 but shop around whsimths were selling tham at 15.99 a few weeks ago go for it you wont regert it .
But I second (or third... I lost count) the motion. Excellent for covering the basics, and all of the basics at that - tools, techniques, joinery, design, wood, finishing.
Without a doubt it is worth getting, I bought mine not long ago off ebay for the criminaly cheap price of about a fiver, and have to say it is indeed a very good book!
