Nothing spectacular. Just had a guide bearing seize in the fox crapomatic. Fortunately I had two spares here so fitted both of them because one of the other two was very snatchy. After that I checked the bottom set of three. All seized. So I had a chat with the bearing supplier and now have on order a set of much better quality bearings than were originally specified and supplied. when they arrive I will change all six bearings and reset it up as per Alex Snodgrasses video which enabled me to get it cutting superbly since last year. It has run for year since the last set.

Sadly my old Clarke metal cutting bandsaw which I bought in the late '70's has developed its first fault. Motor wont stay on when I let go of the starter switch, not sure yet if it is a case switch or the relay itself. Anyone know where I could buy these parts ?

If the motor runs while you are holding the switch in, its 99.9999% sure the switch is faulty.
Is it a NVR switch with red and green buttons? They are available from ebay or any electrical wholesalers.

yes it is a nvr switch, but bit specialised as the red bit acts as the motor off button when it completes a cut is a Clarke type 4 1/2 inch metal cutting bandsaw

If the bandsaw is either the Clarke CBS45MD or CBS7MB them you can download the manuals from the relevant page for each model from Machine Mart

Looks to be a standard no volt double pole switch on the smaller one. May not be relevant but I've just had to replace a similar switch on a small Draper lathe because it was clogged with sawdust. Tried to find an equivalent but had to go through Draper in the end. Cost £14.06 of which £3.99 was carriage.

Thanks, will test the case switches before ordering a nv switch
