Axminster "Spigot Clamp" - what else are they called?

I have been after a pair of these for ages:

Well, two pairs actually: for holding my Makita belt sander upside down for odd jobs, and as clamps on my drill table, as they are useful where other clamps are too cumbersome.

So spotted them in Axminster's sale, put them in my basket, and wasn't quick enough checking out. All gone, I think. I'll check tomorrow, but the implication is that Axminster won't restock. Sigh.

Googling for "spigot clamp", which is what Axminster call them, doesn't yield anything.

Does anyone know them by any other name? I can't believe nobody else sells them...

Would something with a similar clamping action be acceptable or do you want this style exactly? There are some sideways-acting toggle clamps that might do what you need.

I think you are looking for the Bessey TK6 Table Clamp.

I think I'll try a pair of those as an experiment. Googling indicates they're probably a bit cheaper on Amazon, though I'll get free delivery on my Axminster order Axminster, so it probably nets out the same...

I'm not convinced they'll fit the sander's holes though, but they'll still get used.

Just find £5.31 worth of something you use supplied by Amazon to make up £20.

Just checked with the tail end of a drill bit, to find that my Makita 9911 will comfortably accept 8mm bar into the holes for clamps. Probably nearer 8.5mm.

So the Axminster/Benchdog design looks like the way to go, albeit a bit pricey.
