Apple burr bowl

This weekend whilst sorting out the wood store I came across this Apple burr I cut down a few years ago.

Turning it proved to be both a little exciting & a lot of fun

There were a few cracks in it so I only managed to get it down to a wall thickness of around 1/4", but still I was pleased with the result.

That is lovely. I particularly like the flow to the rim & natural edge.

Somewhat better than using it for firewood, looks as though it had dried out well.

Filled with Apples it will continue natures intended roll.
