    Bandsaw dust collection -mod

Looks nifty.. My only concern, is if the blade gets hot with use, will it melt those plastic toothbrush bristles? You don't want melted plastic on your blade. It might not be a valid issue, as not sure how hot a bandsaw blade gets. But otherwise, it looks a rather nifty item.

    New Scroller Struggling

I ordered a variety set, from him. Came swiftly from the states and had a good selection of blades. I have not used any spiral ones yet, not really much use for what I do with my saw. If your getting lifting, of the work piece, check the blade is correctly postioned. Checked the movement on...

Best Scroll saw for the money

I had the same choice as you and same dilema.. In the end i went for neither. I bought a second hand hegna.. single speed. Old, and with a few rusty spots on the adjuster and paint peeling. I cope without variable speed, as I work in wood. If your working metal, well thats a different ball...

Cheapest place in UK for 100mm extractor hose?

Anyone have any idea who has reasonable prices on 100mm extractor hosing? I picked up a cheap Einhall extractor, a year ago, been sitting around doing nothing with it, due to lack of time etc. But yesterday got it wired up and working. Only snag is after a garage overhall, it cannot reach the...

Motor for new modellers table saw. 240v advice sort.

Digit, if you spot one, and its not too much of a hassle and cheap. Yes, its not going to compete with any serious table saws, but for my model building and odd dabling into wood work, it should be quite adequate and for the price, it cost me a bit more than a blade would. I just need to sort...

Sash clamps and G-clamps - Where from?

Our local market does have a tool stand, but the quality of the items is less than impressive sadly. And they only have g-clamps. Not sash clamps. http://nextday.diy.com/app/jsp/product/productPage.jsp?productId=63885 The above are ones I have been looking at. But wondering if anywhere did a...

    Bandsaw Maintenance?

I have just bought a second hand BAS315 bandsaw. But came without any paperwork for it. I have found a rather scratchy copy of the manual here; http://fc.zindel.de/scripts/CUWP_CGI.EXE/BAS315_4_GxN_55_en.pdf?directArg=VAC284642817,BAS315_4_GxN_55_en.pdf But it does not give me much info on...

    Variable speed control.

I have an old single speed hegner. You need the strobe controller, to get variable speed. A kit from Hegner, but given the price, your probably better to ebay your old single speed and put the cash toward a variable on ebay. But it can take some serious hunting to find one. BUT before you...
