    thanks for reply.yes this is the same machine.mine is blue.had another look today.it looks like the belt has shrunk.never known this before.migght have a problem sourcing new belt.thinking of fitting new v pulleys with a v belt. regards jh

    hi folks.using the old imp today and the motor stalled.had a look and the belt drive was very tight.adjusted it as much as I could ,every thing working but belt so tight.then started to throw the belt off with the motor as far forward as possible on adjustment real struggle to get the belt on to...

    thanks for replies.I took my big lump of afromosia to a local workshop to get machined into sizes I can work with. Turns out they do a lot externally with afromosia and use liberal amounts of linseed oil and have never had a problem I will go with this and see how it turns out. thanks again.

    Hi folks, I have a w.gilpin bevelled edged chisel .It is 12" long and is quite fine.Would this have a specific use or is it just extra long.     hi folks , recent purchase of an imp band saw, which recommends half inch blade for straight cuts.I can buy a 3/8locally.Would the narrower be ok for general use mainly straight cuts.cheers bw

    hi, really impressed, I have been trying to find plans for a balakiala, not sure about the spelling, every site seems to have its own spelling.Anyway, so far unsuccessful, the one I would like to try is the triangular shaped one with the curved back.Any info re plans would be appreciated. regards bw
