hi folks,when do you work a router anticlockwise or clockwise.I seem to get on better anti c no matter what im doing.explanation would be welcomed regards bw
 
Go against the direction the cutter is turning in, If you went the same way as the cutter you'd have a climb cut where the router might jump ahead in the cut.

Look up "climb cut woodworking router" and then go the other way with the router so you're not doing a climb cut.

Hi Birchwood.

From an 'overhead' viewpoint.

If the work is to the left of the cutter, push the router away from you.
Same applies if you are routing inside a frame.

With the edge you are working on to the left, push the router away from you.

And of course Vice-versa
