    Cheap Dewalt DW703

Arrived this morning - played a bit and "tweaked" the settings. Seems to be accurate, but the 24 tooth blade will find a home in the tablesaw. Not overly loud either. 60 tooth Freud Pro now installed and cuts coving and pelmet etc. just as good as anything else I have tried. Well pleased

    Cheap Dewalt DW703

Thanks for all the replies. Pity about the soft start, but, at the money, I'll live with it. Happy with the brake though. BTW - It is OK to buy another saw (just don't tell SWMBO)

    What nice people Makita are

Hi I cannot agree on the nice aspect of Makita. I bought a Makita 2704 table saw 12 - 14 months ago and have repeatedly e-mailed and phoned in respect of two problems. I have not even received an acknowledgement. 1. Fence will not lock solid, nor will it run square to the rails. 2. Blade...

    Makita 1013

The Makita will not disappoint. Yesterday and today I was giving a pal a hand at trimming out a bloody awful new kitchen. The LS 1013 was top notch, easy half degrees, or less, and repeatability. Glass smooth cuts on compound angles. Superb - So good I am trying to convince SWMBO that I...

    Triton TRB001

Hi Thanks for the replies. PaulO - Won't tell Fi about the direct deal, she may be annoyed and as it was a surprise I can't really complain about the price gap - BUT! had I known before and knew what she was up to I could have steered her. Let's not forget - not all SWMBO's are this good...

    Compressor Help Please

Hi Paul In addition to what Scrit has very correctly advised you, be aware that compressed air carries water vapour, normally lots of it at this time of year. Not good for paint finishing. Driers/filters are available for reasonable money. Cheers - and welcome. Les
