Another vote for Chris Tribe, I have done a number of his courses and attended his evening classes for a couple of years now. I reckon that is the best recommendation I can give for both his courses and the evening classes. Hugh

Walking aroiund blocks of flats with a Stanley knife, mentioning you are after a strop, sounds dodgy to me. Hugh

A 1 metre metric steel rule has been one of my best buys, I just butt it up to a set square on the end and it seems to work well.

It gets worse, I asked the wife if she had any baby oil and then had to explain I wanted to put it on my leather to open the pores................................yeah right!!!!!!
