There is another way to make a strop. Just tell my 2.5 year old that its time to turn cbeebies off.

It gets worse, I asked the wife if she had any baby oil and then had to explain I wanted to put it on my leather to open the pores................................yeah right!!!!!!

Have a travel round your local refuse transfer place (cowp), or indeed 'skanks ville'. everyone has one in their neighbourhood, where all the 'manks' live,
Those leather suites you see lying at the foot of blocks of flats (usualy cream'Ivory coloured), the '@rse' section is leather, the rest is vinyl, take a stanley knife or other suitable blade and help yourself,
I have enough leather to make a coat for a cow :wink:

Walking aroiund blocks of flats with a Stanley knife, mentioning you are after a strop, sounds dodgy to me.
