Which one do you have?
Because if it is the record one I might have a spare one in the workshop and as for spares, have a look on ebay or old tool shops if you have any near you.
Not much about.
Hi Chas
I use the thread, 1/ because I dont get much chance to use it  and on whole I dont have to clamp it.
You are right it is not needed
:)
I still have 3 more to make as I make them for family and friends baby's
A way I do it is to get a plastic container and fill it with saw dust ( should not be to hard to do  )
Get some ammonia ( polishing suppliers will do it ) and pore some in to the saw dust.
Then place the screws in it head down so you can find them and leave for a day but keep an eye on...
I should be going down there today and will take a pic of them as some times they can have a lot of sap on them ( not as hard and can flake with use )
I hope it helps
It might seem that was lucky as all four of my 900mm clamps work fine and as for the plastic ends that had broken, I sent an email yesterday about it and got the new ends today.
That will do me
I would also like to know how the Bessey's join, if I have it right that you can join the Bessey's end to end.
Please someone tell me that I am right on this :?
Mine turned up about 10 minutes ago, so I will have to try them out now but the plastic bit on the end was broken on two of them.
What are they for ( I would guess to stop the head from falling off ) :-k
