    Self Centering Dowel Jigs

Which one do you have? Because if it is the record one I might have a spare one in the workshop and as for spares, have a look on ebay or old tool shops if you have any near you. Not much about.

    Help with a screw !!!!!!!

A way I do it is to get a plastic container and fill it with saw dust ( should not be to hard to do  ) Get some ammonia ( polishing suppliers will do it ) and pore some in to the saw dust. Then place the screws in it head down so you can find them and leave for a day but keep an eye on...

    Rutlands parallel jaw clamps

Mine turned up about 10 minutes ago, so I will have to try them out now but the plastic bit on the end was broken on two of them. What are they for ( I would guess to stop the head from falling off ) :-k

And here is a pic of the handle [/img

    Why Bother

Hi Harbo I would make my own [/img] as I have never liked the ones you get off the shelves. I dont like the handles and you can always make a smaller head, lead weight it to get more weight in a smaller head. That way you can use more of your Lignum for other things :)

    Planing hard maple end grain?

When it comes to wetting the end grain ( which is a great way to make it easier to plane ) , just dont get it too wet as it can some times have problems later. I get a damp cloth or sponge and wipe the end I my planing, this way it does not get too wet. Regards Colin

EZ Smart Guide / Festool Guide. Are there any others?

Hi John I have had the EZ for a while now and have been very happy with but I have not had much chance to give th bridge a good run. In my workshop, I no longer have a tablesaw and just use the EZ or my bandsaw. When I do, I will try to post what I find :)
