I am about to "hang" 2 x twin 6foot strip lights with IP65 ratings.

I am having to use jack chains due to the roof space and need a little advice on how to fit the jack chains to the light units.

There are no hooks or eyelets to put the chains in to support. I had thought about drilling a hole into the plastic case and inserting a small bolt through the chain links but dont feel that confident that it would support the weight.

Has anyone used jack chains on ip65 (sealed units against dust, damps etc) and how did they work around it?

Thanks in advance

Mark

Thanks all for the replies.

I have acctually taken them back to my local supplier who has swapped them for ones with inbuilt jack chain hooks.

It totally threw me when i opened them and what i thought i was getting was not there.
