Our wifi was interrupted and since then I have none. The computer's fine, the router's fine, but we keep being told that the computer is not configured for wifi. When we attempt to configure it, it tells us we can't as it's already configured. Any ideas? I'll leave it to swmbo to sort, as I have the computer knowledge of an aardvark. :)

Does the wifi work on a smartphone, tablet or laptop other than your computer?

I presume the computer has found the access point (SSID) but not got the WEP/WPA key and when you try to add this, it says it already has it ? Can you tell the compute to 'forget' all known access points and rescan for them ? Then add the WEP/WPA key again for the access point you wish to connect to.

First though, do what dzj says, try to make sure the wifi is good by using another device.

Was this a problem that just popped up one morning or did it coincide with other activities on the computer?
Which OS are you using?

Have you turned internet access off on the computer? It's key f12 on my laptop maybe different to yours.
I often hit the key by mistake and then curse the router when I have no internet, until I remember what I have done before.

reboot both your router (turn off for a minute) and then give that 2 minutes to come back up and your PC. Keep the PC switched off until the router has restarted and re-connected to the web. Report back if that works.
