My neighbour has got hold of a very old and tatty 12inch Whitehead Junior Thicknesser, It's 240 volt and despite its looks it fires up when switched on.
The belt cover at the side is missing and no doubt a few other odds and ends but try as I might, I can't find any information about the machine on the net. I've only found one very poor picture of a similar machine on an old South African "Gum Tree" site!
Can anyone help me with a manual or the like? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Were Whitehead machines also branded Cooksley, if correct maybe you would have some luck with that name.

Thanks for that fellas, the pictures of the planer Thicknesser have given him a good idea of the design for the belt cover. But it looks like finding any sort of manual is a non starter. Still, it's an old machine and probably simple enough to work out what's what.
