I have in the past got these from Screwfix but the price of them is on an endless spiral the wrong way. Wondering if there are any good value alternatives or cheaper places for the Spax ones.

This sort of thing http://www.simplyspax.co.uk/spax_washer ... _P784.html

I like the Screwfix turbo coach screw for some external construction work but want the washer head ones for this job.

Thanks

Thanks

That does not look bad but shame they can't make the pic tie up with the description :? Funniest torx head screw I ever saw.

Edit. Spoken with them and the pic is right just wrong description. Price looks good but would rather have a torx head but may get some anyway for other structural jobs

I just snagged a joblot of knapp/heco etc ebay, it turned out to be many more than expected and many more than I will need in this lifetime. Most are longer than you are after but some are in that sort of length. If you are interested drop me a pm and I'll take a look tonight

Will message you later and would take various lengths as there is always project on here :D

Went into Screwfix this morning and they now only do the 6 mm Spax washer head screw anyway so no use for my plan. And when did they get so expensive? Been using their Turbo coach screws for years and always seemed good value but today picked up three boxes (didn't check price) and spent the best part of fifty quid :?
