Hi folks ,I've just built a ply topped workbench and was wondering what kind of finish I should use? .I was going to just use some sort of brushing wax but am considering some kind of oil ,any suggestions?
What finish for ply work bench?

i personally quite like Jacobs idea- any paint that you want to test the colour of at any given time!
Alternatively, Tru-oil is probably my recommendation- 8oz is about the best value- dont be tempted by a huge bottle because it has a shelf life. 3oz will probably just about do you. It is also a fantastic finish for walnut particularly, but I have used it on all sorts since getting a bottle.

Osmo poly x? not cheap ,but you'll easily find uses for the rest of a tin. It's easy to use and very, very good.
