Wax

I have the rust problem in my workshop due to it being freezing cold, however I having a decent heater in there soon, I just getting power installed in there after xmas so everything can be up and running. However until then I need to keep the rust away, other than wd40 I read people use wax. What kind of wax and where might I get it from?

Hi Nev.

Google RenWax and read up on that. Supposed to be very good for that sort of thing as well as wood.

I've just bought a tin, partly to protect my machine beds but haven't tried it yet.

Me too. As it dries hard it can be buffed to a shine if needs be and I also find it much easier for later handling than oils. And finally, sawdust doesn't stick to it so it doesn't then get encrusted with muck when machinery is in use
