Evening all
Currently renovating a house. Taking some walls down and chasing out others for pipes and electrics.
I have a stihl saw and an angle grinder with diamond blades. They cut very well indeed but my goodness they make one hell of a mess!!!
I built a drop box this morning from a 70l dustbin and some 40mm waste pipe. It picks up small waste really well so very handy, but the fine dust travels straight through to the vacuum and blocks the filters.
I have angled the inlet so the waste is fired around the outside edge of the bin so it creates a vortex. When I took the lid off the air was still spinning so that bit is working.
The outlet to the hoover is at the top in the center.
I have tried fittings some baffles and some bits to angle the air down but nothing seems to be working. I tried fitting a filter over the exit but that blocks straight away.
A water spray inside might work but would make an awful mess.
I should have taken some photos but any suggestions as to what I could try? Or am I on a looking streak trying to filter the fine dust?
Cheers
