Veritas PM-V11 steel - any thoughts?

Hi all,

Now that PM-V11 steel has been available from Veritas for a little while, what do people think about it?

I'm interested in knowing how well it keeps an edge and if it take longer to sharpen?

I was bought 2 of the butt chisels as a gift - 2" and 1/2" - in PM-VII and I think they are outstanding
I would love to be able to get the rest!

I bought a plane blade and iron for an old no 5.5 Record plane. They advertise them as drop in replacements. Outstanding. Dropped in without any fettling required. Perfectly flat, sharp enough to use out of the packet, extremely long edge retention. Reasonably easy to sharpen. Saving up for a couple more.
