Hello all,
I've recently acquired a Union Jubilee lathe. All in all its in great condition but the one snagging point is that the banjo is in bad shape, it sits uneven on the bed and has a nut and bolt system for both the T bar and the bed attachment. I tried giving it a go for a while but it's so time consuming using spanners every time you want to re-adjust the tool rest.
Ideally I want to replace it with another Union Jubilee one but I've found them very difficult to come by, if anyone has any info on places to look I'd be very grateful. I've trolled the internet for the past week but not had much luck.
Alternatively I might have to replace it with a component from another manufacturer. Does anybody have any experience in updating these? If so can you give some advice on which ones are compatible with the Union Jubilee lathe bed and centre height.
