Trinket box thats not

I will be retiring in two years time and would like to make a small present for all the lady's at the office, (30 plus)
First it will be a trinket box that will not open, I will tell you what will be some how printed on the top, (open for ideas).

This is a very special gift.
That you can never see.
The reason it's so special
it,s just for you from me.

Whenever you are lonely.
Or even feeling blue.
You only have to hold the gift
and know I think of you.

You must never open it,
please leave the ribbon tied.
Just hold the box close to your heart
for it's filled with love inside.

Now for what wood to make it with?
A dummy lid.
As for size, about 1 inch high, by 4x3, this should take the rhyme on top.
Any ideas on how to go about it.
The good thing, time is on my side.

I thought this was the 4th verse for a minute. I was wondering why it didn't rhyme. #-o

Whatever timber you choose just make sure you use heartwood (sic!) :roll:

in Wonders in wood Amazon link I think there was a double dovetail that linked 2 different woods and looked impossible to contruct (and open).

I'm in work now so can't consult my copy but will do so later.

Or, as you have three verses perhaps a triangular or Pyramid shape :?:

Or a keyed bandsawn style box (then it would seem openable but the final verse could be on the inside - badly explained I'll try to SketchUp an example.

You could also encase a stone or soft Bag-O-Stuff inside so there is a shakable aspect - you'd know something was inside but couldn't get to it.
