TREND PRICES-GOOD VALUE?

I was looking for a cutter to rout a grove for aquamac 63, Trends price is about £80 :shock: :shock: most other makes are about £30.
So my question is can they really be worth so much more and are they any better?
Does any body actually buy the more expensive Trend cutters?

Occasionally, and they are very good quality. The more expensive Trend cutters should last longer when used in anger, i.e. often.
For hobbyist use, where they are not necessarily being used that often, then I find their Craft range to be fine

I think that 25-30% discount is the norm (bows down) with Trend cutters.

Why don't you get Wealden, they are every bit as good and half the price.

I normally use wealden they are excellent on both quality and service.
I just could not belive the price difference Trend charge, and I have not found great discounts available on their specialist cutters either.

It seems to me that Trend have got too big for their boots and think they lead the market so they don't need to bother anymore with upgrades and research into what people need or want .
The sales men are very helpful but the bosses cut them dead at trade shows as i found . I like to think i know my stuff and im not a time waster as i love to buy tools and im trade . But Trend , i wont give them my money if i can go elsewhere .

I would not use Trend for cutters unless I had to as compared to others that I have used ( CMT for one ), they cutting edges dont last as long and from what I have seen, you can also get your bits cheaper else where.
Ps I am trade also
