Hi, my Tormek has been idle for many months ( house move and stuff getting in the way). I went to use it today and whilst the motor ran the wheels didn’t turn, I tried manually to help them along and they turned but the motor still wouldn’t move them.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong and what a possible solution could be?
Many thanks.

what generation is this? I suspect a rusted shaft if it's older without having a stainless steel arbor.

(can also be a bit of grease, compound has gotten onto the contact point where the motor meets the inside of the strop wheel).

Yippee, thanks gif your comments folk, I found a bit of info about the strop wheel slipping in the drive shaft (maybe oil or dust), as per the suggest I took a bit of abrasive paper to the rubber on the wheel and wiped the drive shaft and hey presto it started working!
Thanks again.
