thehanko What's happened to him?

Hi everyone,
A little while ago someone called Ben, with a forum name thehanko (I think) posted a forum entry about woodturning lathes and accessories for sale - he was clearing out for a relative. I've been in touch and agreed to buy a set of chuck jaws, but I couldn't remember the postage charge. I've tried searching, and somehow can't seem to find his postings. I did an author search this morning and the forum search reported his details - joined November 2012, latest post Feb 4, but no forum entries showed. So I searched the posts from Feb 3rd to 5th and found nothing posted by him.

I tried again just now, and the author search reports no-one found. Thinking I may have mis-spelt his name, I tried wildcards *hanko, *hanko* but again no search results. The search *hank* finds 2 members, but not who I'm looking for, and I'm certain his name contained the sequence 'hank'

So am I being a bit thick here, and not using the system properly? Am I going cross eyed and not reading the authors' names correctly? Or is there some other reason why all details regarding this guy seem to be eluding me?

Any ideas?

And Ben, if you read this, I really am trying to sort out the purchase.

i think he was also flogging the stuff on ebay, so post deleted. was it the big lathe amongst other things?

His for sale posts were removed as the OP was selling the same items advertised for sale here on the forum for sale on ebay at the same time in breach of the market place rules and several members reported this having seen the items for sale on the net.

OK thanks for that. He was a genuine seller then? I thought there may have been some sort of scam going on.
