About complacency. Almost everyone who becomes familiar with woodworking machines gets complacent by routine and doing a job in a rush because they've done it a thousand times. I've been woodworking for about 13 years now, and i'm still as scared and nervous about using my TS as when i just started. So if i can get a TS that adds an extra safety measure, then i'm all for it.

And as Wizer said, 100£ for a finger/hand, that's a no brainer.

On the other hand a good blade guard system that actually works and is not removed by it's user might do a better job of keeping your fingers out of the vicinity of the spinning blade in the first place.
