Have to confess that living through the Cold War, watching The War Game and visiting Moscow and seeing the Berlin Wall first hand, my blood ran cold when I read this article.

My blood has been running cold too. We have the perception that it was at least the man at the top who would have the say to launch but reading this it was actually a junior duty officer. After that systems and protocols would kick in......

Certainly a chilling close call, but a reminder to all that computer systems cannot be relied upon, be it military or commercial use.

I know I am using one to type and transmit this post, but it’s a love hate relationship, or maybe a necessary evil. :evil:
