Are there any budding Alan Titchmarsheseseses out there that can please identify this creature that landed in our garden several weeks ago?!! :shock: :shock:
It's a strange beast - very prickly and almost carniverous looking!!
I've trawled all reference vehicles without success.

from the stem it looks like some sort of gunnera, but i am not sure. I will look around and see if i can identify what it is, meanwhile dont smoke it.. :lol:

Google images popped up a photo exactly same as mine! At least we'll have summat nice for dried flower displays come Autumn!!

I would say either one of the large thistles or more likely a teasel.

Won't be long before a flower head will appear and then you will know.
Both are good for the birds. Gold finches love'em.
