I am adding some flex cut whittling knifes to my collection and a 3 inch flexcut draw knife and a flexcut gouge

I am getting the flex cut stropping block for the gouge but just out of interest with the knives being new do I just need to strop on a leather covered battern with compound to maintain the edge as opposed to putting them on a sharpening stone ?

thanks mark

Yep, stropping as you say Mark, little and often, should be fine for a long time.

I got a couple of the spoon knives recently and very impressed. I did sand the lacquer and printing off of the handles though and treat with blo, but that's just a personal preference, they are extremely sharp and effective :)

Cheers, Paul
