Earlier in this thread someone said that pricing was upto the market...that is just not true at all.

Well, Toyota will be surprised to hear that their theories are so wrong.

In fact, of course, they are not wrong at all. What Alan has done is move to a different part of the market, just as Toyota did with the Lexus. But the market still sets the price. If Lexus tried charging more than Mercedes they would have quite a problem
