Startrite 260 Combination Machine

Hi. I have a Startrite 260 Combination Machine that I have used for the last 30 years on 3 phase but due to circumstances I am now needing to use it through single phase. I have tried a Clarke PC60 convertor which ran the spindle but not the planer or saw! I was advised to purchase a Transwave 3Kw convertor which again runs the spindle and planer this time runs for 30 sec's before the machine cuts out but the saw tries to start but does not budge (tried with belts off and still the same, plus all motor's are the same, so think the control panel is somehow restricting it). Has anyone had experience of this or can help. It looks like I may have sell the machine but would hate to as it is in great condition and loved using this well made bit of kit. TIA
