stanley fat max power tools ?

Hi all, 'anyone had any experience with the new fat max range of power tool?
I'm in the market for a new drill driver after two of my three makita batteries died after three years realitivly little use.
I also don't need anything as long lasting between charges as the 2.6amp drill drivers and impact driver now that I no longer work in the roofing trade.

Just as a question, are your duds li-ion or ni-mh/ni-cd?

Just everyone do what there good at! Stanley drill? Maybe for DIY looks like a re-branded dewalt so made by black and decker
